New Christmas Songs Released
The holiday season is heading our way again, and it’s time for new Christmas music!
This year, I’ve got 3 brand new Christmas songs being released. Two of them, Mickey Guyton’s “Save a Little Christmas for Me” and “Mistletoe Kisses”, were co-written with my favourite all-Canadian team - Emma-lee and producer/writer Karen Kosowski - over zoom during a beach trip in the heat of June! We brewed up some hot cocoa, put up some twinkle lights and got ourselves in the holiday mood. Turns out that once you commit to it, it’s not hard to get in the Christmas spirit, even when you’re sitting beside a sandy beach on summer vacation.
We’ve also had “Save a Little Christmas” placed in the soundtrack of a Hallmark Christmas movie, which is already being aired on the Hallmark channel - so go check out Tidings for the Season on a TV near you!
The third release I’ve helped to pen this season is a fun little bopper called “Mrs. Claus”. I wrote it with the band The Heels - a very talented trio of Canadian women who can sing face-melting 3-part harmony - back in September and now they’re rolling it out to radio across North America as their Christmas single. We figured that the lady behind Santa deserves her flowers too…after all, “the man in red gets all the cred…can we get a round of applause for Mrs. Claus?!!”
If you’d like to hear more music where this came from and you haven’t yet signed up for my newsletter, that’s a great way to stay in touch…and to see and hear some behind the scenes video and audio clips, from studio moments to on-stage POV performances. You can join here.
Happy holidays, everyone!
