Congratulations to Victoria Banks and video director Julian Chojnacki! Their short-film project “City of Dreams” has been selected to screen at The Nashville Film Festival next month. The song, written by Victoria following the devastating Nashville floods in May of last year, began as a simple guitar / vocal slideshow on YouTube and grew into an amazing volunteer fundraiser and awareness campaign to support the Red Cross flood relief.
Over 40 artists contributed to the recording (and accompanying video), ranging from legendary voices to new faces, Grammy-winning musicians and hit songwriters. (Some notable names include Pam Tillis, Buddy Jewell, Danielle Peck and Mallary Hope.)
“City of Dreams” is scheduled to screen at Green Hills Cinema in Nashville on April 14 at 7:00pm and will be followed by a Q&A period with the filmmakers and performers. A second screening will take place April 17 at 5:00pm.
The video is now streaming on-line at www.cityofdreamsnashville.org. For more information on The Nashville Film Festival, please visit www.nashvillefilmfestival.org.
