Victoria to Return to Moose Jaw for Concert of Hope

June 17th, 2011

Moose Jaw, June 17, 2011: The line-up for the 3rd annual Mosaic Concert of Hope presented by Casino Moose Jaw was announced today with tickets going on sale at 10 am. George Canyon, Victoria Banks and The Heartbroken will entertain the crowd at the Mae Wilson Theatre in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The event, hosted by CMT’s Joel Stewart, raises funds dedicated to the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital.

George Canyon, a multi-Juno and CCMA award winning country artist, will perform an intimate acoustic set at this pink tie affair. “Not a day goes by I don’t wish that we had a cure for cancer,” Canyon said. “That’s why I do whatever I can when I can to help out with raising money for cancer, not unlike what we’re going to be doing on October 1. It’s something that everybody needs to be involved in.”

Singer/songwriter, Victoria Banks, will be back for her third year at the Concert of Hope. Banks was named 2010 CCMA Female Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year and has toured with superstars from Reba to Randy Travis. “It was a very moving and beautiful experience to see all these people coming together to help out such great cause,” Banks says of the previous Concert of Hope events. “I’m really excited to come back again.” She goes on to say, “It’s one of those things that you’ll remember your whole life. You’re going to want to be front and centre, so grab your tickets fast.”

Tickets can be purchased at the Casino Moose Jaw Box Office or online at www.casinomoosejaw.com.
