CCMA Female Artist of the Year VICTORIA BANKS is joining George Canyon, Johnny Reid, and Tom Jackson in a wonderful evening of entertainment benefiting the people of Slave Lake.  Wildfires, which swept through the town just one month ago, destroyed more than 350 homes and businesses.

“After seeing the footage of the wildfire devastation, I was overwhelmed with emotion.  Like so many Canadians, my heart went out to the people of Slave Lake,” says Banks.  “So many have lost everything. I’m honoured to be a part of an event raising money for this wonderful community whose strength is truly inspiring.”

The Tom Jackson CBC Benefit Concert of Slave Lake will take place at the River Cree Casino in Edmonton on Wednesday, June 15th.  Tickets are $49.50 and $59.50 and are available beginning TODAY at the River Cree Casino.  Proceeds will go the Canadian Red Cross Society.

The concert will air on CBC-TV on June 16th at 8pm.
