Victoria Banks Signs New Publishing Deal

July 12th, 2010

Singer/songwriter Victoria Banks has signed a new publishing deal with Chrysalis Music Group. Victoria is joining a team of Nashville writers signed to this innovative L.A.-based worldwide publisher which, with its recent acquisition of S1 and Song Garden Publishing, is rapidly growing into a major presence in the competitive country market. The Chrysalis Music Group USA is known for its “storied catalogue,” including the hits of Blondie, David Bowie, Jethro Tull and many others.

Says Banks of the new partnership, “What drew me to Chrysalis was the energy and eagerness of their team. They’re incredibly supportive of the work that I do, and they’re very proactive. Their hardworking team is like a close-knit family. I’m so happy to be their newest member!”

Described by Nashville’s Music Row Magazine as one of “the best songwriters in the business,” Victoria made Billboard chart history by co-writing the highest new artist debut song ever released, Jessica Simpson’s “Come on Over.” She also scored the #1 most downloaded song on iTunes with Jessica Simpson’s “Remember That,” penned the ASCAP and SOCAN award-winning Sara Evans hit “Saints & Angels,” and co-wrote Johnny Reid’s hit “Dance With Me.” She’s also received recognition on both sides of the border for her song “City of Dreams,” a tune she wrote following the tragic Nashville flooding in May.
