Victoria Banks Set to Shoot First Music Video

April 27th, 2009

Partnering with 235 Films and acclaimed director Warren Sonoda, Victoria Banks heads north to Toronto next week to shoot her first music video for CMT.

“I’m really excited,” says Banks. “I never imagined, after songwriting for all these years, that I’d actually be in front of the cameras myself one day! This is such an amazing opportunity for the fans to get to know me (and my music) a bit better. I’m so thankful to CMT and to the team at 235 Films for giving me this chance.”

The video for “When You Can Fly” (Victoria’s second single from her highly celebrated debut CD of the same title) will be shot in one whirlwind day in downtown Toronto, promising beautiful imagery and state of the art special effects.

“This amazing talented singer/songwriter is ready for the spotlight,” says director Sonoda. “‘When You Can Fly’ serves as her visual introduction to the world, and my goal is to make that introduction as dynamic and illustrious as the music she writes.”

While in Southern Ontario, Victoria will also visit several radio stations, and will co-host a very special episode of “Chick Flick Fridays” with CMT’s own Elissa Lansdell.
