Congratulations to Victoria Banks for achieving another Top 10!
“When It Ain’t Raining,” the current single for One More Girl, has reached Top 10 status at Canadian Country Radio this week. Banks penned the tune with superstar Gretchen Wilson several years ago.
“I remember Gretchen playing me her demo tape when we sat down to write this song about eight years ago. And it actually was a tape back then,” says Banks. “It was unbelievable! I knew after hearing ‘Red Neck Woman’ and ‘Here For the Party’ that Gretchen was going to be big star. And I’m so thrilled this song has finally found a home with One More Girl. They did such a great job with it. It was absolutely meant for them.”
“When It Ain’t Raining” is the first top 10 hit for EMI recording duo One More Girl.
Described by Nashville’s Music Row Magazine as one of “the best songwriters in the business,” Victoria made Billboard chart history by co-writing the highest new artist debut song ever released, Jessica Simpson’s “Come on Over.” She also scored the 1 most downloaded song on iTunes with Jessica Simpson’s “Remember That,” penned the ASCAP and SOCAN award-winning Sara Evans hit “Saints & Angels,” and co-wrote Johnny Reid’s smash hit “Dance With Me.” She’s also written several other hits for artists on both sides of the border.
