On Ramp recording artist Victoria Banks is set to release her highly anticipated second single to radio this week.
The title track of her debut album, “When You Can Fly,” comes following the success of her first single “The Wheel,” which garnered Top 20 status in only eight weeks.
“I got butterflies in my stomach when I wrote this song. That never happens,” explains Victoria. “I thought that might mean we had a huge hit on our hands. A week later, Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood went into the studio to record it for Reba’s “Duets” album, and I thought, ‘Hey, my gut was right!’ But by the end of the day, they had changed their minds and cut a ballad instead. When I finally recorded it for my own album, I realized why I had felt the way I did. This song is the story of my life! All along it was meant for me.”
Last month, Victoria traveled to Toronto, ON to shoot the video for her new single. Directed by Warren Sonoda of 235 Films, the video will be released in the coming weeks on CMT Canada.
