On Ramp/EMI recording artist, Victoria Banks is set to release her highly anticipated debut single “The Wheel” to radio next week.
Says Victoria of “The Wheel,” “It was very hard to hold on to this song for myself. A lot of artists have wanted to record it. Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood have both considered this song, so it’s all the more special that I’ve recorded it myself, and that it’s my very first single.”
Banks collaborated with celebrated writer Tia Sillers (“I Hope You Dance”) on this track. “I brought the chorus to Tia Sillers,” reveals Victoria, “and together, we poured the verse lyrics out so fast that it felt like we were speaking in tongues. Afterward, I asked her if she’d like to set up a weekly co-write. We’ve been writing together every week ever since!”
Described by Nashville’s Music Row Magazine as one of “the best songwriters in the business”, Victoria has lent her writing talent to several successful titles, including Jessica Simpson’s “Come on Over” and Sara Evans’ “Saints and Angels.” And now, “The Wheel” is set to take its place at the top of her internationally recognized writing accomplishments.
Banks’ debut album “When You Can Fly” is due to hit stores this April.
