5/16/08 - VICTORIA’S SONG TO BE JESSICA SIMPSON’S FIRST SINGLE   

A song Victoria co-wrote with Jessica Simpson and Rachel Proctor has been chosen to be Jessica’s first country radio single, scheduled for release in mid-June. 



5/10/08 - SONG RECORDED BY SHEDAISY ON LYRIC STREET RECORDS

Victoria’s song “I Will Never Be The Same”, co-written with Mary Sue Englund, is being recorded today by the group Shedaisy on Nashville’s Lyric Street Records.  The record is being produced by Canadian pop icon Jann Arden.

Victoria’s song “Back to the River” is currently holding the #1 spot on the Top 20 chart for Nashville Music Pros (the social networking website for professionals working in the Nashville music business).



4/26/08 - VICTORIA’S SONG ON YOUTUBE

The demo version of Victoria’s song “Remember That”, sung by Rachel Proctor and pending release by Jessica Simpson, is the subject of a new Grey’s Anatomy fan video on YouTube.  Click here to check it out.



4/21/08 - JESSICA SIMPSON RECORDS VICTORIA’S SONGS

Victoria has had three songs recorded by Jessica Simpson for her new country record to be released through the Columbia label later this year.  Two of the songs, “Come on Over” and “I’m Just Me”, were co-written by Victoria, Jessica Simpson and Rachel Proctor.  The third song “Remember That”, is about domestic abuse, and will also be the topic of a book which Victoria is currently co-authoring with the song’s co-writer, Rachel Proctor.



4/7/08 - JESSE LEE RECORDS VICTORIA’S SONG

New Atlantic Records artists Jesse Lee has recorded a song called “Girl Thing”, co-written with Victoria and Rachel Proctor.  Watch for the release later this year.



1/25/08 - NEW CD ON THE WAY

Victoria is currently working on a new CD for release later this year.  Stay tuned for more info.



12/20/07 - NEW SONY/ATV CONTRACT

It’s official!  Victoria has signed a new publishing contract with Nashville’s Sony/ATV Music.  Victoria was brought into Sony by fellow songwriter Tony Lane, who was nominated for two Grammy awards this year for his Faith Hill/Tim McGraw duet “I Need You”.  Some of the other songwriters on the Sony roster include Gretchen Wilson, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Merle Haggard, Taylor Swift, Rodney Crowell, Jennifer Hanson, Dean Dillon, Bob DiPiero, Miranda Lambert and Gretchen Peters.



12/8/07 - COLLABORATING WITH JESSICA SIMPSON

Victoria is currently writing songs with Jessica Simpson who is preparing to release a country record through RCA Nashville.



12/4/07 - SONGWRITING COMPETITION AWARD

Victoria’s song “I Will Never Be the Same”, cowritten with Mary Sue Englund, has won honorable mention in the 2007 international USA Songwriting Competition.  Victoria’s solo-penned song “Midnight at a Red Light” brought home first prize in the country music category and second prize overall in the same competition in 2006.



10/15/07 - “SAINTS & ANGELS” ON NEW GREATEST HITS CD

Victoria’s solo-penned Sara Evans hit “Saints & Angels” is featured on Sara’s brand new Greatest Hits CD, available now at www.saraevans.com.  Victoria was honored with an ASCAP Country Music Award and a SOCAN International Achievement Award for the song which originally was a single from the double-platinum “Born to Fly” CD.  Mark Scott’s re-recorded version has also been voted Georgia Song of the Year for 2007.



9/15/07 - BACKING UP PAM TILLIS

Victoria has been backing up Pam Tillis on acoustic guitar, manditar and harmony vocals this year.  She recently appeared on the live GAC broadcast of the “Grand Ole Opry”, Naomi Judd’s Hallmark Channel TV show “Naomi’s New Morning”, and Dallas’s “Good Morning Texas” and KHYI radio live.
