HOUSE CONCERTS

A House Concert is a live music performance in your home.  There is nothing as profoundly moving as hearing a songwriter perform their hits in person, and this provides an up-close and personal opportunity for you and your friends to experience the magic and to hear the stories behind the songs.  And it’s a win-win, because it allows songwriters to connect with new fans and spread the word about their music.

The performers’ travel expenses vary depending on where you live, so it is not always a viable option to host a House Concert if the cover charge required would be too high.  Generally to host one of Victoria’s concerts you would need to live within driving distance of Nashville or near a tour location (for example, Victoria visits Ontario regularly, so shows in that area are an option as well).  And you shouldn’t plan on hosting a concert unless you are willing to put in the promotional work required to ensure an audience.  But feel free to contact us at seapearlrecords@comcast.net for more information.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

  1. you invite 25 or more friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc to your home (we provide a master invitation flyer for you to distribute)

  1. you re-arrange the furniture, round up your chairs (or have friends bring their own) and arrange them concert-style

  1. an admission fee is charged at the door for the performer(s)

  1. because the performances are solo and acoustic, no audio equipment is necessary unless your house is really big (50 or more in the audience)

  1. there is little or no cost to you, unlike throwing a party...you can provide a pot of coffee and some cookies or ask guests to bring potluck items to share

  1. the performance generally lasts an hour and a half, with time afterwards for the performer(s) to socialize, answer questions and sell and sign CDs
